What are the pros and cons of gender reassignment surgery using grafting and using intestines?
Male to female sex reassignment surgery creates an artificial vagina using tissue that we call a graft. The tissue that covers the penis and testicles is used to create an artificial vagina. The advantage is that there will be no wounds anywhere else. The disadvantage is that if there is little tissue, the artificial vagina may be shallow. However, if you want a deeper artificial vagina, you can use tissue from the intestines to create an artificial vagina. However, the disadvantage is that two wounds must be made.
Will circumcision affect the depth of the artificial vagina that can be obtained?
If the penis has been circumcised, it may cause the tissue that will be used to make the artificial vagina to disappear by about 1 inch. However, this also depends on the size of the original penis tissue and testicular tissue that is present. Normally, whether the penis is circumcised or not, the depth of the artificial vagina will be about 5-6 inches.
After gender reassignment surgery, how should I clean the outside? And is it necessary to douche into the artificial vagina?
Let’s divide it into periods in the first week – 1 month. The external wound will be swollen, some tissues will be dry, some will be wet, and some will have some lymph. There will be antiseptic soap to wash the external part. After 1 month, the tissues will start to settle, then you can wash the external part as usual like in your daily life. As for douching the artificial vagina, in the beginning when the internal tissues are not yet dry, you can use water mixed with antiseptic to wash the internal part. Later, when the internal part of the artificial vagina starts to dry, take care of cleaning it like usual, that is, after finishing your business, wash with water and wipe it dry.
If after surgery, when actually using it (having sex), is there a chance that the artificial vagina or intestines that make up the vagina will fall out or break through?
In the case of using an overly aggressive vaginal expansion graph, this must be taken with caution. There was a case like this from another place where the artificial vagina was made shallow but wanted a deeper artificial vagina, so the implant was inserted too hard in the hope of holding the artificial vagina. Therefore, follow-up care during the first month is important because the doctor will be able to check how deep the artificial vagina is. This is not just an examination by inserting the implant, but an examination like an internal examination must be done as well. This will allow the doctor to know the depth approximately. If it is more than this, caution must be exercised. The vaginal tissue depth and width will remain the same for about 6 months – 1 year.
How many times a day should artificial vaginal dilation be done? For how long?
The purpose of vaginal dilation is to prevent narrowing and to prevent blockage. The doctor will answer right away that you don’t need to have vaginal dilation for the rest of your life.
1. If the intestines are used to make a vagina, the intestines will have very few problems with narrowing and blockage.
2. In cases where grafts or skin are used to make a vagina, during the first 3 months after surgery you have to be patient with the vaginal dilation. Then the tightness will gradually decrease until after 1 year you will have to do the vaginal dilation less often, from every day to 2-3 times a week. And if your girlfriend is using it, after 1 year you won’t have to do it at all. In conclusion, be patient. The doctor will support you.
After gender reassignment surgery, will there be feelings or touch points like a woman? And for some people who have had the surgery and do not have touch points, what are the solutions?
I do everything to make it look like a woman, from the external appearance to the internal sensation. You can orgasm as well. In cases where there is no contact point after the procedure, to find the cause, you must see a doctor for examination. There are many causes for not having a contact point. It may not be that the tissue at the tip of the penis has been moved to the newly created clitoris tissue, or the wound may be pulling until there is no sensation of the nerves connecting. You must see a doctor to find the cause first.
